As a still at home living BDSM practicer you cant just mailorder your new toys to , and also the purchase price can play a role in waiting a long time before actually buying, a shame, because it can be done so easily. Here come a few examples of simple inventive toys made with house garden and kitchen tools and some inginuity.

The Cable Whip

A whip can't be absent in your toy-collection so we're gonna start by helping you out with this one. A whip can be made very easily from something like I'm about to tell you. I am quite the computer addict en due to the many twisting on my audio cable the plug began to wear off and the sound became bad. Time for a new cable, and time to trash the old one... wrong!

The cable I used was a 1mm cable with a length of 5 meters/16 feet with a coper core used for transferring audio from a jackplug-device (MP3 or computer) to a stereo. How do you do it? Make sure all the knots and twists and turns are out of the cable before you begin making your whip. Lay down the cable in loops from the same length 40 to 50 cm/15 to 20 inch) and tape the ends at one side of the loops together. On the other side cut the loops open so you get uneven strokes. Now what you can do, leave it be like it is, or you can cut the loops in a way theyre all the same lenght (which i did), its just what you like the best. Basically, the whip itsself is now done, only the decoration still has to be finished. I havent found anything suitable yet but i suggest using some kind of piping or a handgrip off off something you dont use anymore, use your imagination! I added a picture of my own whip as an example.

A simple ballgag.

A simple ball gag is pretty east to make of a rubber ball and a piece of thin nylon. Buy at for example a petshop a small rubber ball (watch the size, a ball too big makes it harder to make it right), and get a piece of 6mm nylon at a local crafts shop. How do you do it? This is a somehow more difficult job than the Cable Whip and requires some skill with tools. Take a thin drill, something like 5 mm and drill a hole through the middle of the ball. After drilling the hole wrap a piece or wire around the end of your nylon and use it to pull it through the ball.

Basically your gag is done now, but with a few simple steps u can make it even prettier. Pull the nylon cord through the ball far enough for both ends to be of equal lenghts and cut off that what is too much. Use a role of electricty tape to tape the ends of the nylon for a nice look and easy maintenance so it wont unravel. Thats about it. If you do find out your ball gag is too big after all you're gonna have 2 sand or cut a piece of the ball away or get a smaller ball and try again!

One last hint: Is your sub affraid of not being able to breath, or dont you like the idea of a closed ball, drill some extra holes (with a bigger drill of course) before inserting the rope. Try creating a pattern for the best result!
